The Adult Education Team is excited and pleased to announce that CenterChurch and the local Muslim community at MountHolyokeCollege and at the Hampshire Mosque in Amherst have agreed to participate in a plan intended to establish bridges of tolerance, harmony and understanding through prayer, religious education, community service, and social events.

The first event of this joint imitative will occur on Sunday February 9^th after worship service in the Chapel when Dr. M. Saleem Bajwa will provide us with a 30 minute overview of Islam, followed by 30+ minutes of questions and answers. This is a repeat performance by Dr. Bajwa as he did this about 11 years ago! Dr. Bajwa is a medical doctor with offices in Holyoke. I would describe Dr. Bajwa as a humble and learned man who is a leader in the Pioneer Valley Muslim community. Dr. Bajwa and his family lives here in South Hadley.
