Empower change: Participate in global outreach initiatives

Join us in making an impact ~ locally and globally! Our outreach programs connect you with transformative organizations like Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Church World Service, Cathedral in the Night, and the South Hadley School Backpack Program. Together, we can create meaningful change and support community partners near and far.

Empowering ministry

The ministry teams at our church play vital roles in fostering spiritual growth and community engagement. The Christian Education Teams are dedicated to developing and implementing programs focused on Christian faith and practice, welcoming both community members and church members alike. From the church school team guiding children’s education from birth to confirmation, to the youth fellowship team enriching youth experiences, and the adult education team providing learning opportunities for adults, these teams collaborate under the guidance of our pastor(s) to nurture faith formation across ages.

Our deacons, working closely with the pastor(s), oversee the spiritual life of the church, including worship, pastoral care, sacraments, and ensuring continuity during services. They also manage the Deacons’ Fund for urgent needs and act as a liaison for proposed worship changes from other church teams.

As stewards of our financial and physical resources, the Trustees ensure the financial health and integrity of the church. They manage church finances, oversee assets, and collaborate with various teams for budgeting, financial reporting, and contract management for staff, including the pastor. Their diligent oversight ensures our resources align with our mission and support our programs effectively.

Making a difference: Outreach team

The Outreach Team at Center Church plays a crucial role in promoting human welfare, justice, and peace through various programs that connect church members with communities, locally and globally. Through research, education, advocacy, and impactful activities aligned with our Christian values, the team strives to bring hope and positive change in our community. They diligently allocate resources to Outreach partners and manage the Peterson Memorial Fund awards dedicated to educational initiatives.

Our local mission partners, such as Girls Inc., Habitat for Humanity, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Cathedral in the Night, and the Western MA Food Bank, work hand in hand with us to address local needs. On a global scale, partnerships with organizations like Church World Service, CROP Walk, One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen the Church, The Christmas Fund, and Neighbors in Need allow us to extend our impact and our support to communities around the world.

You are welcome to join us and contribute your passion for positive change during our Outreach Team meetings held every second Monday of the month at 7 PM. Let’s work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others!

Center Church of South Hadley, MA warmly invites members and friends of all ages and interests to join in our vibrant fellowship activities. From the cherished tradition of Coffee Hour following Sunday worship services to delightful events like Mom’s Night Out and Family Fun Nite, there’s always a sense of community and camaraderie. In addition to our youth-focused activities, we offer opportunities for adults to connect and learn through events such as our Adult Ed Pot Luck dinners with enlightening presentations.
